Fine-structure Superplasticity is observed in alloy possessing ultra fine-grained and equiaxial microstructure. Widely used methods enabling grain refinement are typical plastic working technologies combined with appropriate heat treatment and specialized large deformation methods (Equal-Channel Angular Pressing, High Pressure Torsion). In the paper an attempt to obtain ultra fine-grained microstructure in conventional Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy has been presented. Several schedules of plastic working and heat treatment enabling following superplastic deformation of the alloy have been analyzed. Tensile tests of Ti-6Al-4V alloy have been carried out at temperature and strain rate in the range of Superplasticity. Effect of parameters of initial and final heat treatment on superplastic behavior have been analyzed.
