This paper pretends to give a theoretical introduction into the acquisition problematic in extremely severe conditions like those indoor positioning has to deal with, as well as to present the performance of a new algorithm based on the noncoherent differential correlation. Then a comparison with real values coming from real simulations in different scenarios will be presented. This will allow us to see how much the ideal performance of the differential acquisition degrades when non ideal effects are introduced.
