Apart from radio communication and power supply systems which have been extensively investigated with respect to suspected hazardous effects during the last decades, pulsed high-power sources, as e.g. used for medical diagnosis in magnetic resonance imaging scanners, for EMC purposes in immunity testing systems or by law enforcement and emergency services to disrupt unwanted electronic systems, are potential candidates for electromagnetically induced biological effects in exposed human bodies.
