摘要

Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation is a very attractive method to induce polymerization or cross-linking reactions. The use of light, rather than heat, offers several advantages, such as solvent free formulations, high reaction rates at room temperature and ease in creating a molded crosslinked structure. Multifunctional photoreactive monomers are extensively used in coatings, adhesives, nanolithography and microelectronics. Although a large number of UV curable monomers have been synthesized, the functional groups for crosslinking are limited to a relatively small number of categories, such as acrylates, vinyl ethers and epoxies.
