摘要

The right to communicate, to be communicated with in ways that are meaningful,understandable, and culturally and linguistically appropriate (A Communication Bill ofRights, 1991) means to have the right to take an active role in that collective narrativewhich we call culture, in that webwork of relations and signs inside of which our existencedevelops and which we call society. Unlike sensory disabilities, when the topic is webaccessibility, intellectual or relational disabilities are often dismissed: the variability of adeficit not connected to a gradual scale, makes "design for all" (as underscored by theONU Convention on the Rights of Challenged Individuals – Crpd – acknowledged by theItalian government with the Law 18/2009) particularly complex when it comes toapplication. The aim of this work is not to define, even if briefly, all the issues linked to thedesign for all, but to call on everybody who deal with accessibility to take on more theproblem. Expanding the research in such a direction might perhaps help us to understandthe real meaning of that migration of the mind from the head towards the screenmentioned by de Kerckhove, helping us at the same time to discover new social skills ofwhich neurotipical subject in particular seem to be lacking.
