Many companies today struggle to control costly ergonomic related injuries such as strains associated with manual material handling and musculoskeletal disorders associated with industrial tasks and office computer use. Manual material handling continues to be the leading cause of occupational injury in the United States, comprising 27% of all injuries and 60% of all costs. Musculoskeletal disorders associated with manual material handling and awkward postures often include strains and sprains to the lower back, shoulders, arms/elbows, hands and knees.
