摘要

This article’s principal research question is “do family and non family businesses differ in their innovativeness and fear of failure and if so, does this affect their growth aspirations?". The hypotheses are examined using data collected as part of the adult population surveys of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) in Israel in 2002 that included family and nonfamily firms. As expected, FB owners/managers reported lower growth aspirations than NFBs. A moderating effect of innovativeness on growth aspirations of FBs and NFBs was found. Also, a moderating effect of fear of failure on growth aspirations of FBs and NFBs was found.u0000 u0000x
