摘要

This dissertation studies comparison of information structures with general states of nature. Chapter 2 provides some mathematical preliminaries. In particular a weak topology on information-beliefs is introduced and some relevant properties are presented.;Chapter 3 presents the existing results on comparison of information structures with finite states of nature. These include the equivalence of informativeness, sufficiency, and mean-preserving spread of some derived measures. As an application, the value of information in the noisy Stackelberg game is also discussed in this chapter.;Chapter 4 establishes the counterpart equivalent properties of Chapter 3 with general space of states of nature.;Chapter 5 shows the compatibility of information and measurability for information structures with deterministic signals: a more informative information structure corresponds to a bigger sigma algebra on the space of states of nature.;Chapter 6 establishes the order preserving property for comparison of combined information structures and that of the corresponding constituent information structures. That is, if the constituent information structures are more informative, then so is the combined information structures, and vice versa. Thus we solve an open problem raised by Blackwell.;Keywords.
