Demographic characteristic has long been a focus and main analytic tool to figure the effect of TMT on organization's strategic behaviors and performances. In our article, we argue that this method overlooks the interaction between the members in TMT and lacks deep insight on TMT. Based on the theory of social capital and social networks, we argue that we should go beyond the demographic characteristics and look inside the interaction process of TMT to make the obscure group process clear.%当前高层管理团队的研究构建往往着眼于高层管理团队的人口统计学特征,并以此作为具体分析点来探究高层管理团队内部组成对组织战略行为与组织绩效的影响.这种研究构建不仅在内容上忽略了高层管理者之间的互动特征,而且在分析视角上缺乏较深入的透视性.基于这一认识,对高层管理团队的研究可以超越人口统计学的特征,借助社会网络与社会资本理论,重点审视高层管理团队内部的互动过程,以此来透视高层管理团队内部运作机制及其对组织战略决策和组织绩效的影响.
