Appointment system of teachers is the important part of management system of university teachers.After more than 300 years' development,American universities have established an appointment system which has both its own characteristics and accords with the characteristics of modern university system.It fits well with the characteristics of university academic organization,promotes the development of universities,and contributes to the winning of American higher education' s leading and central position in world higher education.In the appointment system of American university teachers,the mechanism of teachers' introduction,employment and dismissal supplies us with an important and unique perspective of understanding university system.A close investigation of appointment system of American university teachers will provide good revelation and references for appointing management of university teachers and reform of personnel systems.%教师聘任制度是大学教师管理制度的重要内容。美国大学经过300多年的发展,形成具有自身特色和符合现代大学制度特点的教师聘任制度,很好地契合了大学学术组织的特性,促进了大学的发展,也使得美国的高等教育居世界领先水平,成为世界高等教育的中心。在美国大学教师聘任制度中,教师的引进、使用与退出机制为我们理解大学制度提供了一个重要而独特的视角。认真考察美国大学教师聘任制度,对于做好我国大学教师聘用管理和人事制度改革具有很好的启发和借鉴作用。
