As the quality of an academic journal is closely related to the editors' professional qualities, it is necessary to study the editors' basic professional qualities. In line with the characteristics of an academic journal, this paper studies the editor's professional qualities in respect of politics, professional abilities and morals, and planning and management abilities.%学术期刊的质量与编辑素质密切相关，因此研究探讨学术期刊编辑的基本素质对提高期刊质量十分必要。根据学术期刊的特点，新形势下编辑人员的基本素质包括政治素质、职业道德素质、业务能力及策划管理能力。
