This article studies the Japanese learning strategies of a good learner and a poor learner by the methods of questionnaire,diary study and interview.The results show that:firstly,either the good learner or the poor learner tends to adopt various learning strategies,but they have not adopted systemic strategies;sec-ondly,the effect of using strategies does not depend on the quantity but the quality;thirdly,instruction on learning strategy is a long-term procedure,apart from providing advices,more efforts should be made to create learning environment,change students’concept towards learning,etc.and finally,questionnaire,diary study and interview are effective methods to observe learning strategies,although there are deficiencies.%通过问卷调查、学习记录和访谈，对日语学习成功者与不成功者的学习策略进行个案研究。结果表明：(1)无论是学习成功者还是不成功者，均能采取多种学习策略，但是并不全面；(2)学习策略的使用效果未必在于量，更在于质；(3)学习策略指导是一个长期的过程，除了给予学习者建议外，应该在创造学习环境、改变学习观念等方面进行更多的努力；(4)问卷、学习记录和访谈是观察学习策略的有效方法，各有利弊。
