Objective To explore a safety training mode for junior nurses taking health, safety and environment as target. Methods Referring to the ideas and methods of DuPont management system, basic safety education was implemented aimed at job skill training. With collaborative interdisciplinary teaching, behavior based safety observation focused on operational behavior and line management training. The training effect was assessed through daily and post review. The incidence of adverse events and the quality of nursing safety management were compared before and after the training. Results The occurrence of adverse events was significantly lower after training (P<0.01) and most events (71.6%) ended without serious damage. The qualified rate of identification and handover process quality, doctor’s advice execution and check quality, and medication safety and quality was 95.5%, 96.5%, 96.5%respectively, which was significantly higher than those before the training (P<0.01). Conclusion Giving full consideration to the features of nurses and training needs, the key of safety training for junior nurses is to remove barriers to safe behavior. Safety training, which is practical, can effectively enhance the safety consciousness of nurses and risk prevention ability.%目的:以“健康”、“安全”、“环境”为目标,探索一套低年资护士安全培训模式。
