Resource is the key factor to decide the success of a social movement. Resource mobilization theo-ry is a good perspective to analyse Xiamen PX event. As a typical representative of environmental movement in China, the success of the 2007 Xiamen PX event is not only the result of material resources such as movement participators, movement organizations and the social network to be fully mobilized, but also is closely connected with the use of the moral resources, cultural resources and other intangible resources. Nevertheless, Chinese envi-ronmental movement also has some difficulties that should be taken seriously in resource mobilization process.%资源是决定社会运动兴衰成败的关键因素。西方资源动员理论为分析厦门PX事件的资源动员提供了很好的理论视角。作为中国环境运动的典型代表，2007年厦门PX事件的成功，既是硬资源（物质性资源）如运动参与者、运动组织以及社会关系网络等充分动员的结果，同时也与合理获取与利用道义资源、文化资源等软资源（非物质性资源）紧密相连。尽管如此，中国环境运动在资源动员过程中也存在一些困境，应该引起重视。
