隐喻不仅是一种修辞现象，而且是一种认知活动，隐喻对诗歌的创作也有很深的影响。唐代诗歌中有不少涉及到“水”这一意象的，文章尝试将“水”作为始源域，分析它映射到的不同目标域，以及“水”在唐诗中隐喻的特点，以期从认知隐喻这一角度认识唐诗中的“水”意象。%The metaphor is not only a kind of rhetoric phenomenon, but also a cognitive activity. It plays a crucial role in composing poetry. The images of ＂water＂ are included in many Tang poems. The essay tries to take ＂water＂ as the source domain to analyze the target domain which it maps. Hereby, it will display the metaphorical characteristics of ＂water＂ in the Tang poetry in order to understand the images of ＂water＂ in Tang poetry form the perspective of cognitive metaphor.
