Objective:To study the clinical ef ect of valsartan treatment of the elderly patients with hypertension. Method:98 cases of elderly hypertensive patients, divided into the observation group and the control group. The control group was given amlodipine treatment; the observation group was given amlodipine combined with valsartan. Results:Total ef ective rate of the observation group is 95.92% higher than that of the control group 82.67%, the dif erence was significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:Valsartan in the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension, curative ef ect is good. It has high value in clinical application.%目的：评价缬沙坦治疗老年高血压的临床疗效。方法98例老年高血压患者，分成对照组和观察组。对照组给予氨氯地平治疗；观察组给予氨氯地平联合缬沙坦治疗。结果观察组总有效率95.92%高于对照组82.67%，差异具有显著性(P<0.05)。结论缬沙坦治疗老年高血压疗效显著，具有较高的临床应用价值。
