According to the Second Language Acquisition Theo-ries, art-majors' English can be greatly improved by means of fo-cusing on creation of English environment, increase of meaning-ful and comprehensible in-put, emphasis of communication and learners' emotions. This article aims to explore how to improve art-majors' weak English in the practice based on the SLA theo-ries.%二语习得理论对艺术生大学英语教学具有促进作用,可以改变目前艺术生大学英语教学中的被动局面。这种作用主要表现在营造英语环境、提高输入的数量、强调交际应用,以及重视学习情感的作用等四个方面。
