Regarding the issue of congres-sional funding of the Internal Revenue Service (Letters, April 2015, page 10): I have a very large tax and accounting practice. Most of my clients would be, by your standards, considered poor. I have been an accountant for 50 years and have fought for my clients' rights even when the client could not afford to pay me. I can tell you firsthand that the budget of the IRS needs to be cut. In fact, the same should happen to the Energy Department, the Department of the Environment and the Education Department. These agencies are overbloated with waste and misuse of our funds. All of the mentioned agencies have so much money that they use the excess to abuse their power and to enrich top management with bonuses, large salaries, free trips, and many other perks. All of this while a large part of the population is out of work, has lost their homes, is having marital problems due to the economy, and in some cases does not have the money to buy a decent meal....
