摘要

The ubiquitous e-book (ebook, electronic book, or digital book) is fast becoming a staple of libraries. The Oxford Dictionary of English defines an e-book as "a book whose text is available in an electronic format for reading on such a device or on a computer screen; (occas.) a book whose text is available only or primarily on the Internet." That seems pretty straightforward. Yet, managing e-books is a challenge akin to juggling flaming torches while riding a unicycle; the task can be mastered, but there is a steep learning curve and a constantly shifting terrain. However, there are some touch points to consider.
