摘要

The configuration of the ABB PMC800 drive system for the extensive drive control functions of paper machines provides the state of the art possibilities for paper production required by a machine such as the PM 2 project. On the basis of longstanding competence and expertise in rebuilding paper machines and using the best equipment such as ACS880 multidrives and other ABB components, ABB worked hand in hand with the Sappi project team. Despite the complex machine configuration of the PM 2, the drive system permitted simple compatibility with all external equipment. This seamless integration in existing control elements and the punctual commissioning of the paper machine drive system, including drivetrains, inverters, motors and automation, helped ensure the success of the 61 million euro project.
