It is not a new product, but Bell Helicopter CEO Mitch Snyder is hoping the company's vision for future rotor-craft is one the industry can get behind. Snyder, who became CEO in October 2015, wants to return Bell to an innovative past in which it developed the first supersonic (X-l), variable-sweep (X-5) and tiltrotor (XV-15) aircraft.
