摘要

Japan's three largest aerospace manufacturers are expected to invest 300 billion yen ($2.8 billion) in the 7E7, more than half as much as Boeing. Eager to make aerospace one of the country's core industries, Japan plans to grant Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Fuji Heavy Industries subsidies and low-interest loans through the Japan Aircraft Development Corp., the consortium they have used for participation in two previous Boeing programs, the 767 and 777, which also received government backing. The extent of this support hasn't been decided but is expected to be substantial.
