摘要

The glass water tank experiment is using water as the medium to simulatethe temperature fields’ structure characteristics and development process of the convectionboundary layer in the laboratory. This experiment uses a fast-respondingtemperature sensor to measure vertical profile of temperature and temperaturedifferences at different height. In this experiment, parameters such astropospheric boundary thickness and stability are obtained. The experimentalresults show that the indoor water tank convection system can simulate theformation, development and extinction of inversion layer in boundary layer.This experiment is suitable as a professional experiment for atmospheric fluiddynamic course. Meanwhile, students’ understanding of meteorological concepts and basic principlesis more profound and excellent teaching effect is achieved, and thus thedesigned experiments have certain promotion value.
