摘要

[Purpose] Biotin (Biotin; Vitamin H), a kind of water-soluble vitamin, is known as a co-enzyme of four kinds of carboxylase and plays important roles in gluconeogenesis, fatty acid synthesis and amino acid branched-chain. It is reported that the biotin concentration in patients with atopic dermatitis tends to be low (Nishihara et at. 2005). Frigg et al. reported in 1989 that 119 dogs with skin inflammation were administered biotin and as a result, it was found that 60% of them were completely cured and 30% of them were improved. In this study, we verified the curing effects of biotin for skin inflammation using the skin inflammation model mice.
