The Australian transport safety bureau (ATSB) published a report in April this year concerning an independent investigation into the death of an integrated rating, or rigger, that occurred on a vessel at berth in the Port of Townsville, Queensland.rnAt about 17:00, a geared cellular container vessel berthed on its starboard side at number three berth.The 1,388teu ship, which had an appropriately qualified crew composed of 19 Australians and two New Zealanders, could stow 854teu on deck. At the time of the incident, the containers were stacked two high on deck.
