RWE Thames Water reports a 5% drop in operating result to ?0.62 billion in the first half of 2005 compared with the previous year's figure, running counter to the trend for the whole RWE Group. Germany's major energy and water company saw operating results rise by 5% to nearly ?3.5 billion, with the main growth stimuli "provided by energy activities in Germany and eastern Europe."
