Oliver James' book Office Politics provides a sort of family-friendly integration of the more rigorous and research-based work contained in Corporate Psychopaths and the personal account and life history described in Confessions of a Sociopath. As such it functions rather conveniently here as a bridge between the "theory" and the "reflective practice" of the two other titles. In focusing our attention to workplace behaviour he suggests that there are four critical components which research indicates underpin a person's political skills in the office.
