Velcan has further reduced its exposure to the uncertain regulatory regime in Indonesia with the sale of a second hydropower project. The independent hydropower producer, based in Luxembourg, announced on 21 December that it had sold its 7 MW Sukarame run-of-river project on the island of Sumatra to a local independent power producer, after failing to agree a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PT PLN Persero (PLN), the country's state power utility and only authorized offtaker.
