摘要

The burgeoning population of immigrants and minorities within the United States coupled with physical and fiscal limitations of educational institutions has fostered an accompanying growth of distributed education classes and programs. Serving a multicultural population presents a variety of concerns that must be addressed in the design of effective distance-learning programs. The inclusion of diverse cultural perspectives can also give rise to multiple opportunities for innovation.
