Russia has ordered another 30 Yakovlev Yak-130 'Mitten' advanced jet trainer aircraft from Irkut Corporation, it was announced on 18 April. Under the contract Irkut will deliver all 30 aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) before the end of 2018, said the corporation. The modern jet trainer first entered service in February 2010 and has replaced the Aero L-29 and L-39 Albatros with the VKS.
