During a visit to the DCNS shipyard at Lorient in October, IHS Jane's was granted unique access onboard the French Navy's third Aquitaine-class FREMM frigate, the newly launched Provence. Floated out of the covered dry dock on the River Scorff on 18 September, and on schedule, Provence was brought alongside at a far higher level of completion than its sisters. According to DCNS, some 90% of its outfitting - including ship systems and equipment, and much of the 300 km of cables and 25 km of pipes that each ship contains - was already completed. For the second French FREMM, Normandie, only 80% was in place. On the Royal Moroccan Navy's Mohammed Ⅵ(the first export FREMM, due for delivery in November) the figure was just 70%.
