摘要

This paper reports on a research project that focused on waste production, management, and reduction potential at a residential construction site in Upstate New York. A waste generation audit was conducted of all waste materials that were generated during the construction of a new, 1, 900 square feet bi-level single family detached home. Following completion of the audit, the economic and logistical feasibility of reduction, re-use and recycling strategies were investigated and tested. The study formed the basis for'an educational program for homebuilders.
