Have you ever called Lotus just to say you love the company? Probably not. Even if you're delighted with its products, you probably come into direct contact with the company only when you encounter a problem - whether that problem is a spreadsheet that doesn't do what you expected, a program that locks up on a particular PC, or an indecipherable error message. And if you're like most users, your experiences with a company's technical support play a major part in determining how you feel about that company and its wares.
