Way back in 2006 you could get an iMac for £639, but that entry-level price rose to £1,149 by 2013. In 2008 a white MacBook cost £719, but over time the starting price of a Mac laptop soared to £849. In the past few years we've seen some Mac models hit staggeringly high prices, such as the first MacBook Air, which was priced from £1,299 when it launched, or the MacBook Pro with Retina display, which started from £1,799 at launch. Thankfully, it looks like the years of the high-priced Mac are coming to a close. Over recent months Apple has been reducing prices across its range, and you can once again buy an iMac for £899, the MacBook Air is £749, and the Retina MacBook Pro costs £1,099. You can also buy an Apple TV for £79 (down from £99), and an iPod touch is £40 less at £159.
