As National Dairy Week began on Monday 2 February, record snow falls and extreme weather conditions did little to deter the British dairy sector from promoting the importance of including its products in constructing and maintaining diet. Dairy industry leaders, nutritionists, bottled milk buyers, processors large and small, and even greengrocers turned out in force to celebrate all things dairy in early February. One of the highlights included an event entitled 'Dairy Through the Ages', hosted by The Dairy Council at the British Museum on Wednesday 4 February.
