Prospective office occupiers looking for space in Cardiff are facing stiff competition. Research from the Cardiff office of Knight Frank reveals requirements stand at 290,000 sq ft - three times the amount of available grade-A space. No one will reveal the name of the company that wants the biggest office. The agent handling the requirement, Tom Merrifield, head of agency at Bilfinger GVA in Cardiff, says he has been asked to look for a space between 130,000-160,000 sq ft He believes that the only solution will be a prelet.
