Toho Tenax Co Ltd of Tokyo, Japan, has begun selling a carbon fibre fabric, claiming it is less than half the weight of its conventional rivals.rnDeveloped with Sakai Ovex Co Ltd of Fukui, Japan, and available from March 2010, the fabric is intended for forming prepregs so as to help further reduce the weight of composites, particularly those used to make strong, lightweight products such as golf club and tennis racket shafts or personal computer casings.
