The complexity of creating and managing different versions of the same content for multiple media is proving a challenge for mobile TV service providers and their handset vendors. At the same time, some operators say there is not enough content being created specifically for mobile devices. "We need original IP content that is only available on mobile phones and that people will talk about," said Oliver Hascoat, director of multimedia services at Orange, at IBC2006 in Amsterdam. "We haven't seen it so far, and it doesn't matter whether it is big-branded [content] or done in a garage."
