Shugen Ma is one of many researchers also working on wall-climbing robots. Another is William Provancher at the University of Utah, who has taken an unusual approach with his ROCR, an oscillating, climbing robot that looks to nature and scales a wall in a manner similar to human rock climbers or apes in trees.
