You've just made a painful adjustment, and possibly left that job that you had—and really enjoyed—for the last year or so. It's the economy, you tell yourself, and, for the most part, you believe it. But those of us who have run a company are always rehashing, in the back of our minds, what we could have done better, and, more likely than not, blaming ourselves for everything that went wrong, deservedly or not.
