October sees the launch of 505 Emergency Calling, a brand new Inmarsat initiative developed specif ically for FleetBroadband users, granting them the ability to make direct voice calls to Maritime Rescue Coordination Centres (MRCCs) should the need arise.rnAs well as making the most of FleetBroadband's reliable and resilient satcomms capabilities, the move is intended to mark the beginning of a wider rollout of maritime safety services for vessels deploying FleetBroadband 500, 250 and 150 terminals.
