摘要

Complex #beta#-(Bu_3NH)_4Mo_8O_(26) has been transformed from #alpha#--(Bu_4N_4)Mo_8O_(26) in the presence of o-mercaptophenol (H_2mp) and CuCl_2 in MeOH, and structurally characterized. It can be considered as a dimer [(Bu_3NH)_2Mo_4O_(13)]_2 with a center of symmetry. Each molybdenum atom is in a severely distorted octahedral environment. Two types of H bond between the cations and the anions have been found in the complex: N-H...O and C-H...O, which may play important roles in the #alpha#->#beta# transformation.
