The efficacy of different pte and post em-rgent herbicides were evaluated for the control of grassy and non-grassy weeds in brinjal under field condition. The pre-cmergent spray of nitrofen and basaline @ 1.5 1/ha and 3.0 1/ba. The post emergent spray of paraquat @ 1.01/ha and 2.01/ha were highly effective in controling all the weeds without any deteriraental effects on brinjal crop. The other harbicide treatment also decreased the fresh and dry weight of weeds.
