X-Verminator, from New Zealand-based Bell-Booth Ltd, comes in the form of single feed lethal dose rodent blocks and rodent pellets, both based on a rodenticide formulation which, according to brand manager, Ben Bell-Booth,"has been used to eradicate rodents from more than two hundred islands in twenty countries worldwide". "When Tasmania's National Parks and Wildlife Service began developing its plans to eradicate introduced rats, mice and rabbits from the 12,800 hectare Australian territory of Macquarie Island, its project leader, Keith Springer, knew the importance of selecting the right bait for the job," Ben said.
