Quality is expressed as a blend of five definitions.That is, quality is defined as: ·Excellence. ·Fitness for purpose. ·Value for money. ·Transformation. ·Perfection.Though the last definition exists,it is not found as suitable to the situation in higher education,mainly for the purpose of any analytical framework and empirical research work.The remaining four definitions are,in fact,studied in the perspective of massification of higher education to know the impact of massification on the quality of higher education.(49 refs.)
