Over the past several years, the Extension Service has conducted several citrus futures marketing programs at various locations around the state. The first in this year's futures marketing series will be a one-day program which will be held at the Highlands County Extension Service Office in Sebring on Wednesday, September 4. The one-day program is titled "The Use of Frozen Concentrated Orange Juice Futures and Options to Manage Citrus Price Risk." The objective of this daylong program is to provideinformation on how growers can use the futures market to minimize risks associated with the production of citrus.
