International Animal Health have conducted some research that assists in the fight against Equine Influenza. Managing Director Mr Chris Lawlor says that "Apart from the obvious benefits in the fight against El, there are obviously applications for usein the feed lot and commercial cattle markets. This information on Protexin has far wider applications in many species especially when associated with immunity or vaccination programs." Protexin is a multistrain probiotic containing a blend of seven different microbial organisms including Lactobacillus bulgaricus, L. acidophilus, L. plantarum, L. rhamnosus, Streptococcus thermophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Enterococcus faecium.
