The overall prevalence of non-adherence among patients withmental disorders in our study was 38%. However, 50% of the non-adherents were suffering from schizophrenia.Younger patients with good social support had good adherence whereas thosewithmore severe illnesses and whowere sedated were associated with non-adherence.
