摘要

Bacterial infections are a major problem for marine larviculture that limit reliability and cost-efficiency of juvenile production, and constrains introduction of new species and breeding programs. The main source of pathogenic bacteria is live feed cultures, since opportunistic pathogenic bacteria thrive well in the rapidly increasing nutrient concentrations.The probiotic bacterium Phaeobacter gallaeciensis antagonizes many species of fish-pathogenic bacteria and was capable of reducing the concentrations of pathogenic Vibrio spp. in gnotobiotic experimental cultures representing the larviculture food chain(microalgae, rotifers, Artemia).
