摘要

Background: Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) is widely used for the measurement of 25-hydroxyvitamin D-3 (25OHD(3)) and 25-hydroxyvitamin D-2 (25OHD(2)) in blood. However, the presence of 25OHD(3) C3-epimer (3-epi-25OHD(3)) may cause interference and overestimation of the 25OHD(3) level. We developed a rapid and simple assay for measurement of 25OHD that separates this interference and to investigate its impact on 25OHD(3) measurement in adult and pediatric populations.
